About Entropy Control
Entropy Control Pty Ltd was established in April 1996 by Ray Muir, a graduate in engineering - BE (Electronics) - and science - PhD (Neurophysiology) - with extensive experience across both disciplines. The company has been most active in IT consultancy and design/development. Its work has ranged over both software and electronic/computer hardware, and its projects have included:
- Design, coding and installation of software and hardware to automate product testing in the Quality Assurance laboratories of a large multinational manufacturer's Melbourne factory
- Collaboration on the development and testing of a mobile EFTPOS terminal
- Functional testing and integration testing of a computer system, including hand-held wireless terminals, to automate the management and movement of inventory, using e-commerce protocols, for a large Australian retailer
- User acceptance testing (functional testing) of a computerised warehouse-sales facility, with automated ordering from a distribution centre, for a large retailer of furniture and electrical goods
Entropy Control is currently expanding its interests into other areas of design, development and marketing.
